BRAUNTON batsman Sam Reddick blasted an unbeaten 150 in a 116-run North Devon League win over Holsworthy on the Kelsey Ground.

Reddick – 25 fours, five sixes – and Andy Norman (107) smashed the bowling all around the ground during a stand of 223.

When Norman was finally dismissed the carnage continued with Matt Coombes making 50 in a hurry as Braunton reached 359 for one in a 40-over game.

Matt Mansbridge (67) and Rory Piper (80) gave Holsworthy a solid start. Liam Brend made 45 towards a final total of 243 for five.

Division Three leaders Victoria Park maintained their 100 per cent record at the top with a 72-run win over visiting Barnstaple & Pilton.

Harry Rainford (70) guided Viccy Park to an all-out total of 200 after they had been 56 for five at one stage.

Steve Oliver (26) and Jack Ancill (33) put on 49 for the ninth wicket to give Victoria Park a late shove.

Clive Ball (3-23) was the best of the B&P bowling.

Rob Wilkins led from the front in B&Ps reply with a stoic 56, but only fellow veteran Rob Norton 17 could get into double figures.

It was a team effort from Viccy Park’s seven bowlers, all of whom had at least one wicket. Skipper Dave Branch (3-27) was the only bowler with more than one wicket.

Bratton Fleming were probably wary of hosting DIVISION ONE leaders and defending champions North Devon, but their fears proved groundless as they hurtled to a five-wicket win.

North Devon turned-up at the Comer Clarke ground without skipper Jack Moore and only nine players.

Simon Jennings, the Bratton skipper won the toss, inserted the visitors and the game finished and done inside 36 overs.

Jimmer Thomas (3 -23) and James Tapp (3-17) did the damage as North Devon were skittled out for 77.  Edward Broggio (32) was the only significant scorer.

Thomas top scored with 18 as Bratton knocked off the runs in 15.1 overs. Issac Windley took both wickets to fall.Jimmer Thomas hits out for Bratton Fleming in their win over North Devon

Westleigh (20pts) are now out on their own at the top of the table. Hatherleigh (15.67) are second and North Devon (14.33) slip to third.

Heathcoat defeated Newton Tracey by 78 runs at Knightshayes. Will Bucknell scored an unbeaten 105 and shared in a partnership of 127 with Ed Butler (56) in a total of 228 for five. Will Blowers made 31 not out off 23 balls in the dying overs

Rob Gear (3-64) was the pick of the Newton bowling.

Blowers (3-17) and Dom Wielenga (3-44) were in the wickets as Newton were all out for 150. No Newton batter got past 30. Phil Butcher made 29, former Devon batsman Gear had 26 and Connor Robinson made 20.

Exford triumphed by 31 runs in DIVISON TWO in the Exmoor derby showdown with Lynton & Lynmouth.

Exford amassed 168 for nine with Steve Hyde top scoring on 37 not out. Max Watts made 23. Jeremy Bingham (3-35) took the bowling honours for L&L. Richard Holland (2-11) was next best in the stats.

Lynton were all out for 137. Gus Napier (33no) was as good as it got for the visitors. Tristan Jones made 23.

Bideford won by 38 runs at Nomansland where Jack Ford (79) and James Greenleaf 59 were the main scorers in a total of 230 for nine. Martyn Williams took four for 24 and claimed three catches.

Ed Carter (79) not out did his best to chase down the total, but other than Neil Feltham’s 31 and 20 for skipper Greg Cole there was little support as Nomansland were bowled out for 192. Mark Paul (3-38) and Matt Clarke (2-18) were the bowling success stories for Bideford.
