CLYST St George cruised to a seven-wicket victory over winless Dartington & Totnes.

Chris Cook top scored for his current club against his former one with 22 in D&T’s modest total of 107 all out.

Cook went in at 37 for five after Ronaldo Callender (3-15) and Andy Donovan (3-24) had got into the early order and was ninth out with the score on 97. Madhav Narayan (14) and Ollie Perkins (10) had D&T’s other double-figure scores.

Clyst had the runs knocked off inside 27 overs with little in the way of disruption once they recovered from being 10 for two.

Dependable Chris Ferro made 22, Donovan was 49 not out and Krupa Nallala unbeaten on 18 when the finishing post was passed.

Dan Kendall, the Clyst captain said: “It was a good performance and a comfortable win.

“Ronaldo continues to bowl well each week and Bertie Creer deserves a mention for conceding just one run off the bat from his nine-over spell.

“And it was great to see Andy Donovan back in the runs.

“Now we have the challenge of facing the top three teams over the next three weeks.”
