Out now! The 2022 Devon CCC annual brochure published ahead of the new season

The new Devon CCC annual brochure

THERE’S plenty to read in the latest Devon CCC annual brochure, which has just been published ahead of the 2022 season.

The annual publication looks forward and back at the activities of the county club in a series of articles and interviews.

Neil Gamble, the county club chairman, profiles Devon’s greatest bowler Doug Yeabsley, whose record of more than 700 wickets in a 31-year career will never be broken.

Conrad Sutcliffe, who has been reporting Devon CCC for more than 30 years, talks to Matt Thompson about his desire to carry on playing for the county in three-day and 50-over cricket.

Roger Newman looks at diversity in cricket in the wake of the Azeem Rafiz scandal at Yorkshire, which led to the county management having to resign en-masse.

Dave Tall, Devon’s director of cricket, tells why he is optimistic for the county club’s fortunes as younger players develop into regulars.

County president Jack Davey, chief executive Nigel Mountford and chairman Gamble have all penned articles for the 72-page brochure.

Copies of the brochure, which is published as a charity fund-raiser, will be available from clubs and at county games once the season swings into action.
