A Division news and views: Week 15

North Devon seamer Fred King – missing against Torquay

A DIVISION NEWS & VIEWS

TAVISTOCK V SEATON

Tavistock (Dave Manning):I'm back, better availability I believe not sure of final teams, two games, rearranged game at abbots on Sunday.

Seaton: Nothing to report

TORQUAY V NORTH DEVON

Torquay (Chris Kelmere):Rob Shergold is unavailable this week, a busy couple weeks of cricket has left him in need of a rest. Tim Western comes back into the team after two weeks out. After two very disappointing weeks of cricket we are going into the weekend solely focusing on the task at hand of beating North Devon. The past few games have been underwhelming and it's important as a team that we bounce back and put in a solid performance against a good side.

North Devon (Tom Popham):Dan Bowser in for Fred  King who’s away for the weekend. Important as we did last time we lost that we get back to winning ways. Plenty of sides competing to go up so must keep our heads, and take as many points from every game as we can.

BUDLEIGH SALTERTON V PLYMPTON

Budleigh Salterton (Lloyd Murrin): Same 11 as last week for us. Looking to carry on the momentum of the last two weeks into the business end of the season. Two brilliant team wins in a row has boosted our season and we are looking to build on that. Plympton are a really strong side with a lot of quality. We will need to be at our best to compete and are hopeful we can do. The two wins were huge for us especially where we were in the table. But we are mindful that results must still keep coming to avoid any pressure at the end of the season.

Plympton (Jon Goulder): One change from last week with Matt Knight retuning from injury to replace Sam Wood. Expecting a good game at Budleigh Salterton, who seem to have found a return to form.

BARTON V CULLOMPTON

Barton (Adam Parker):T arget is to extend the number of wins we have ticked off in recent weeks... another win at home tomorrow would be perfect. Team news is similar team to last week subject to a couple fitness tests.

Cullompton: Nothing to report

BRADNINCH V ABBOTSKERSWELL

Bradninch (Eliot Acton): Target is to keep winning games. Clearly promotion is the first objective, then winning the division, but we still have five tough games to go so we are still only looking as far as Abbots at the weekend. They are scrapping to stay in the division and turned-over North Devon last week so it's anything but a formality. They gave us a really tough game at their place so expecting no different on Saturday.

Abbotskerswell (Nick Watkin): Targets still to remain in the A Div. Double header this weekend, mixed availability particularly on Saturday against Tavistock. No Gilmour, Carpenter or Kylie Rich on Saturday. Bradninch are the best team in the division with the best players in it too. It will be a monumental challenge to get anything from the game.
