Finance Director vacancy

The Devon Cricket Board are searching for a new Finance Director.  The Devon Cricket Board is representative of cricket across the county with nine Directors.  Of these Directors, seven are already in place and one is your lead professional.

The Devon Cricket Board are looking for a dynamic, innovative and committed individual from within cricket to join the Board of Directors as our Finance Director,  appointed for an initial three-year term.

Our new Finance Director must be a member of a Devon Cricket Affiliated club, league, or association and must be proposed and seconded by a Devon Cricket affiliated club, league, district or association.

The Devon Cricket Board are committed to considering all applicants with appropriate skills, knowledge and experiences which means we welcome expressions of interest from people from all sections of the community.

Formal expressions of interest should highlight the individual’s key skills, experience and knowledge related to the Board Member role description. They should be submitted in writing, no more than 500 words to;

Remuneration – Voluntary Company Director role, expenses paid

Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by an Independent Nominations Panel which will make recommendations to a forthcoming Directors meeting.

The Devon Cricket Board’s role is to:

  1. Agree Devon Crickets’ vision and strategic plan and ensure that the necessary financial and human resources are in place for the company to meet its objectives
  2. Provide leadership and expertise within a framework of effective financial control that enables risk to be assessed and managed
  3. Set the Devon Cricket values and standards and ensure that its obligations to its members and others are understood and met
