North Devon CC running coaching camps during school summer holiday

COACHING camps for young cricketers will be taking place at North Devon CC during the summer holiday.

Ben Howe, a North Devon first teamer and level-two coach, is running all three coaching camps intended mainly for under-13s.

The sessions planned by Howe and his team of coaching assistants are tailored for all abilities and will feature hard-ball and soft-ball batting, bowling and fielding skills. Sessions are open to members and non-members of North Devon CC.

The coaching crew includes Dan Bowser, North Devon’s England Diversity XI international, the club’s first-team skipper Tom Popham and NDCC players, Jay Rothery, Steve Carrick and Joe Witheridge. All are level-two coaches.

Camps One and Two are both booked to run from Wednesday, July 22 to Friday, July 25. The timings for Camp One are 9.15am-12.15pm on all three days.

Camp Two has been designed specifically as an all-girls camp and will have coaching input from the Howe and his crew plus members of the Tarka Ladies team headquartered at North Devon CC. Timings are 1.15pm-4-15pm.

Camp Three is slated to take place between Wednesday, August 19-Friday, August 21. Session times are 9.15am-12.15pm.

Costs for all three camps are  £20 per day or £50 per week for NDCC members, or £22 a day and £55 for all three for non-members.
