SOMERSET are playing Dorset at North Perrott tomorrow (Tuesday) night in a twenty20 warm-up match.

Somerset are using the match to give their twenty20 squad match practice ahead of their T20 Blast campaign. 

Somerset have confirmed they will be taking a strong team to North Perrott for the match and the squad will include New Zealand International Corey Anderson. 

In addition spectators will be able to see the likes of captain Tom Abell, James Hildreth, Peter Trego, Steven Davies, Craig and Jamie Overton, Max Waller, new England star Dom Bess, Eddie Byrom, Josh Davey, Lewis Gregory, Tim Groenewald, Johan Myburgh, and Roelof Van Der Merwe.

The Dorset line up is Ben Wells, Mark Wolsenholme, Luke Webb, Ed Ellis, Alex Eckland, Scott Currie, Josh Digby, Josh McCoy, Chris Park, Tom Robinson, Bradley Currie, Dominic Clutterbuck.

Sean Walbridge, the county chairman, said: “Dorset are delighted that Somerset head coach Jason Kerr has kindly agreed to bring his side to play this prestigious fixture again this season. 

“We are hopeful of good weather which we hope will attract a large crowd. 

“We are also indebted to North Perrott CC, they have superb facilities, everyone involved has made Dorset CCC players and officials very welcome over the last twelve months. 

“We know that their hard working committee and group of volunteers will ensure we have a memorable evening.”

Dorset have been regular visitors to North Perrott’s ground to play Minor Counties fixtures since losing the use of the ground at Dean Park in Bournemouth in 2016.

Admission is £10 for adults and a fiver for OAPs and students. Accompanied youngsters under 16 get in free.
