You can also find a list of the Devon clubs running All Stars in the schedule at the bottom of the page.

Setting up this year's All Stars programme was the last thing Matt Cooke did for the DCB before leaving his development officer post last month.

Cooke is confident All Stars will go from strength to strength in years to come.

“All Stars proved a huge success in Devon last year, inspiring a whole new generation to play cricket for the first time.

“We have been inundated by clubs telling us how the programme has helped revamp their youth section and in some cases how it has been the catalyst for brand new junior sections.

“Across Devon in the region of 1,200 kids signed up to one of the centres

“We definitely got more bats and balls into kids’ hands and inspired them and their parents into a passion for cricket.”

All Stars Cricket is the first ECB cricket initiative aimed at 5-8-year-olds. The programme includes eight weeks of coaching with the focus on having fun and making friends.

All girls and boys are welcome, and each registered child will receive a pack of cricket goodies including a cricket bat, ball, backpack, water bottle, personalised shirt and cap to keep, so that they can continue their love of cricket when they go home.

Children who were involved in 2017 will receive different kit in year two including a set of stumps.

All Stars Cricket offers children all of the fundamental skills they need to play cricket through, lively, fun games. The scheme also seeks to involve parents by inviting mums and dads to take part in the sessions and play cricket with their children.
