Chudleigh keen to find player-coach for 2017

CHUDLEIGH are looking to employ a player-coach for the 2017 season.

The role will include playing on Saturdays and coaching on Wednesday evenings.

Chudleigh have acquired a reputation for yo-yoing between divisions – up one season, down the next – but want to move on.

Having got back into the A Division last season, they managed to avoid an instant return to the B by a whisker.

Had Chudleigh lost to Barton on the final day of the season in a basement battle, they would have been relegated.

The game was washed out and Chudleigh survived. Barton went down instead.

Skipper Ed Foreman feels it is time Chudleigh stopped living life on the edge.

‘We believe that the time has come to further the clubs development,” said Foreman.

“We need to establish ourselves as an A Division side and feel more structured coaching sessions for our seniors and older colts will enable us to do this.”

Any interested parties should email Foreman for more details.
